Gordale – our favourite room – has a clawfoot bath by the bed and a separate shower room. Other bedrooms have ample home comforts, warm shades and antique pine furniture.

Gordale is a fave with honeymooners. We loved the room's lush shades of gold, bedside clawfoot bath and drench shower.

Dining in
The candlelit Traddock serves modern British cuisine, offering a choice of three or four choices per course. You might find lobster tortellini or pan fried hand dived scallops on the menu, roasted guinea fowl and – a house favourite – yummy hot Green& Blacks chocolate fondant.
Breakfast
Full breakfast is served until 10am weekdays and 10.30am at weekends. If you fancy something lighter, tuck into smoked salmon with scrambled egg on toast or oaty porridge served with cream and brown sugar.
