Some rooms have a four poster bed and all have double spa baths and huge showers. The suites have private terraces with outdoor hot tubs. All have tea and coffee making facilities, TV/DVD players and iPod docks

Bandicoot has an imposing mahogany huge four poster bed while Lady Griddlebone has a white kingsize four poster bed. Tumblebrutus has super king bed and lavish bathroom. Whichever you choose, you'll find a double spa baths and large shower.

Dining in
Whether it’s a private affair in the conservatory or a sociable gathering in the dining room, dining at Pentre Mawr hits the spot. The menu changes regularly according to the season, and favourites include rack of lamb, and roasted duck in a port and plum sauce. There's a hint of Africa, too, with recipes from Bre and Graham's travels.

There's private fishing to be had on the river Clywedog andguests can go hawking with Rich, the resident falconer and his Harris hawks. Walks start from the front door and your hosts are happy to give lifts up to the old Roman road on the hills above the house.Local sights to explore include ancient Denbigh Castle and Offa's Dyke, while historic Chester offers plenty of shopping and city attractions. The idyllic setting though is best suited to walks in the country, picnics, and (if you're fit) hiking in Snowdonia.
