You'll want to spend most of your time sampling the fine food and enjoying your luxurious room.
Good to know
The Peat Inn is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Beautifully appointed suites come with rich fabrics, deep carpets, elegant marble bathrooms, a CD player and flatscreen TV. Seven are split level with the living area upstairs. One suite has a four poster bed.
It's hard to choose between the suites – all offer garden views and a high level of comfort.
Eat & Drink
This award winning restaurant with rooms offers sumptuous dining in relaxed and intimate surroundings. Chef patron Geoffrey Smeddle and his brigade at The Peat Inn serve modern British cuisine with French influences, such as slow braised daube of beef with red wine sauce, onion puree and confit potatoes or Gressingham duck breast with cinnamon sauce.
Continental breakfast including homemade bread and preserves is served in your room until 10am

St Andrews, the fabled home of British golfing, is on your doorstep. Aside from the famous links (have a peep at The Old Course even if you don't play), it's also a historic university town with medieval buildings and two exceptional beaches.
