Each of these 18 luxurious and romantic bedrooms is furnished in Prestonfield's trademark opulent style with rich, warm colours and sensuous fabrics. Rooms are fitted to five-star standards with double ended rolltop bathtubs, bespoke media cabinets with large plasma TVs, DVD and CD players and a minibar packed with treats.

There is a comfortable seating area, a collection of antiques and beds dressed with fine linen and piled high with cushions. Each room has expansive views over Prestonfield's secluded gardens and parkland to Edinburgh's iconic hill, Arthur's Seat and Royal Holyrood Park.

Winston Churchill is a dramatically decorated suite with an antique filled sitting room and gothic day bed, and a romantically draped French four poster bed hung with red and gold velvets and two bathrooms.

Lord Provost is a dramatically decorated suite with separate sitting room with huge black and gold sofa, a romantic antique four-poster bed with velvet drapes and two luxurious bathrooms. Its walls are upholstered in red and gold velvet.

Allen Ramsay has a large sitting room, bedroom with a romantic four poster bed and two bathrooms. This sumptuous suite has views of gardens and parkland. 

This utterly opulent suite is entered from a private turret stairway. Dramatic and romantic, it is lavishly furnished with a library-style bathroom and separate sitting room. Centrepiece of the bedroom is the domed and draped four poster bed, complete with ostrich plumes. The bathroom features a huge silver chariot bath large enough for two with rainfall shower above and views towards Craigmillar castle.
