Award-winning country house style cooking is the thing here and owner Bre Carrington-Sykes sees that fresh local produce is used, according to season. The on site restaurant is open at weekends only. Dining is informal with a daily changing menu, and house-party dining is offered for larger groups. Veggies are grown in the kitchen garden, and even the bread is home made.

Located in the Vale of Clywd between Ruthin, Denbigh and St Asaph, Pentre Mawr is close to great walking country in the surrounding Clywdian hills. Visit historic Denbigh castle, take a ride on Mount Snowdon's steam railway, check out Welsh speaking Llangollen, join a ghost-walking tour of Ruthin or try your hand at fishing. If the great outdoors is not your thing, Chester's chic stores are just a short drive away.  Falconry experiences available on request. There is also an opportunity to go husky mushing with a team of resident huskies!
