High Road House

Your basket is empty

Glam and groovy townhouse hotel with a retro vibe.

New England meets leafy west London at High Road House in downtown Chiswick. An outpost of the ultra-cool members’ club Soho House, it checks all the boxes for a kick-back-and-relax stay.

Eat & Drink

Dining in
Munch on anything from croque monsieur and tapas style dishes to a decent steak at the High Road Brasserie – a popular lunching spot with locals. There is also Upstairs At The House, the posher members-and-guests restaurant, where chef Steve Beadle’s modern English menu goes down a treat.

Try the venison carpaccio, Barnsley lamb chop or roasted cod, followed by a de-lish pudding like treacle tart, apple crumble or baked chocolate pudding.

Breakfast (not included) is served until midday – so lie-ins are positively encouraged here.  The breakfast menu caters for every taste – whether it’s boiled egg and soldiers, home made granola, revitalising apple and ginger smoothies or toasted muffins. My husband tucked into a doorstep-sized bacon sarnie with relish. Sunday brunch is also worth waiting for – try the Eggs Benedict, Florentine or Royale, or pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon.

Room service

Available till midnight or later.

See & Do

See & Do
Visit plant-filled Kew Gardens or stroll along the Thames towpath for a riverside pint at Strand on the Green. Real ale fans can tour Fuller’s Griffin Brewery, one of Chiswick’s hidden gems, while Hogarth’s House is ten minutes away.

Browse the shops along Chiswick High Road, and stock up on bath time goodies at the Cowshed shop next door. Try some table football in the games room or catch a movie in the High Road House screening room. If you’re missing the bright lights, just hop on a tube to the West End.

There’s no spa, but you can stock up on Cowshed products to take home.

Diary Dates
It’s not just the green-fingered who visit the Chelsea Flower Show – it’s also a great place for celeb spotting.

Get your dancing feet ready for the Notting Hill Carnival.

New Years’ Eve
Whether you’re on the banks of the Thames or in Trafalgar Square, the fireworks are spectacular.
