London buzz, leafy surrounds.

All rooms have a six-foot bed, LCD TV with DVD and Sky+ channels and wi-fi. Rain showers come with plenty of Cowshed goodies, while the mini bar is stocked with munchies.
The Playroom has a freestanding bedside bath for two, six-foot wide bed and white-white-white decor. Book early!
There’s a screening room where regular film nights are held, and a downstairs Games room with table football, board games and a bar.
Eat & Drink
Munch on anything from croque monsieur and tapas style dishes to a decent steak at the High Road Brasserie – a popular lunching spot with locals. There is also Upstairs At The House, the posher members-and-guests restaurant, where chef Steve Beadle’s modern English menu goes down a treat.
Try the venison carpaccio, Barnsley lamb chop or roasted cod, followed by a de-lish pudding like treacle tart, apple crumble or baked chocolate pudding.
Breakfast (not included) is served until midday – so lie-ins are positively encouraged here. The breakfast menu caters for every taste – whether it’s boiled egg and soldiers, home made granola, revitalising apple and ginger smoothies or toasted muffins. My husband tucked into a doorstep-sized bacon sarnie with relish. Sunday brunch is also worth waiting for – try the Eggs Benedict, Florentine or Royale, or pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon.
Available till midnight or later.
