There's a wonderful lounge and stylish bar in the main house, together with croquet on the lawn and a sunny south facing terrace leading to wild meadows and a llama paddock. Down at The Lake House (a mile away) residents have use of an indoor pool, sauna and (shared) outdoor hot tub. In-room spa treatments can be arranged through reception.

We loved the Garden suites, with their decks and individual cedarwood hot tubs. At the Lake House, with its waterside hot tub (available to all guests), the Harriet Suite seduces with 25 feet of wall-to-wall glass windows, huge bathroom and stunning views of the private lake and surrounding woodland.
