Dining In
There's plenty of theatre in the 100-seater restaurant – the open-plan kitchen lets you watch the chefs at work, while brasserie-style menus mean you can eat pretty well anything on the menu all day. Just turn up when you're hungry – Kesgrave Hall has a no-booking policy.

Head chef Stuart Oliver and his brigade champion all that's great about local Suffolk produce, whether it's smoked haddock fishcakes, potted prawns and smoked salmon or black bream fillets with shallots, girolles and pancetta.

See & Do
Suffolk's famous Heritage coast is within easy reach. Highlights include the wonderful seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold (famous for its brightly painted beach huts), and Thorpeness, with its rowing lake and teashops. There are also two excellent golf courses just ten minutes from Kesgrave Hall.

Snape Maltings is the place to snap up paintings, jewellery and arty memorabilia, while Woodbridge and Framlingham are a treat for antique trawling and cosy pubs. Ipswich's historic waterfront is now bobbing with yachts and abuzz with restaurants.

Spa
