Escapist heaven in the Scillies that's anything but Hell
Hell Bay? Actually it’s more like a little Eden. Hell Bay clings to Bryher, a verdant sliver of land in the Scilly Isles overlooking an ocean that doesn’t stop till it reaches America.

Good to know
All rates include dinner. Bryher is heaven for boaties and bird lovers – and hell for city party animals.
Most suites have sea views, and either a patio or balcony. All are beautifully appointed with Lloyd Loom furniture and Malabar fabrics. All come with DVD and CD players.
For an extravagant stay, we rated the sprawling Emperor suite.
Eat & Drink
Slate, blond wood, tones of blue and original art lend the restaurant a suitably nautical air. Come here to enjoy modern British cooking: tian of Cornish crab and Scottish smoked salmon, roasted Gressingham duck breast, fondant potatoes and pak choi, then maybe wicked white chocolate brownies, strawberry coulis and dark chocolate ice cream.
Full breakfast is served until 9:30am.
Available morning and evening.
