Special features
Rooms are not huge but chic, with soundproofed walnut wood floors and faux fur throws. Mirrored furniture, perspex seats, ostentatious chandeliers and suede corner couches pile on the style. All have CD/DVD players, flatscreen TVs, free wi-fi, tea/coffee making and a minibar. Handsome grey slate bathrooms are stocked with Molton Brown toiletries. Four of the King roms boast large tubs with a view of the sea.

Pillow Talk
Take a King sea view room – four of them have large rolltop bathtubs with a glass partition to the bedroom with views of the sea. The vast 'reverse penthouse' is an über-cool basement suite that takes up the entire floor. .

Eat & Drink

Dining In
There's no restaurant, but with its jazzy sounds and white sofas, Square's trendy little bar is the perfect place to sip a beet or cocktail.

Breakfast
Continental breakfast is served until 10am (weekdays) and 10:30am (Sundays). Expect fresh fruit, bagels and croissants served up in the lounge bar. Add juice and invigorating coffee and you're set up for the day. You can also have brekkie (champagne optional) delivered to your room.

See & Do
Brighton makes the perfect escape from London – easy to get to and with all the nightlife urbanites adore as well as breezy sea air and a pier. Brighton’s pebbly beach is only minutes from your door and beckons for breezy walks and summer dips. Adrenaline junkies can also try anything here from jet-skiing to paragliding.

Don’t miss a tour of the Royal Pavilion – an exuberant Victorian party palace – or a walk along the pier, with its fairground rides, candy floss and kiss-me-quick hats. For an out of town excursion, try the bracing cliff walk at Beachy Head, 17 miles away.

Spa
In-room body and beauty treatments – Indian head massage, facials or a His n’ Hers massage – can be arranged. Square guests also get discounts at a nearby sports centre.

Check out the outrageous costumes and flamboyant floats at Brighton Pride. It’s the biggest – and pinkest – festival of its kind in the country. Expect round-the-clock revelry.
