Bijou Bath B&B that checks all the boxes

Big on style and strong on service, Grays Boutique B&B is fast becoming one of Bath's coolest addresses. It's just ten minutes from all the city sights.

Know It All

Hit the Spot
Set on Bath's southern slopes, in peaceful Oldfield Park.

Come here for...
• An upscale Bath boutique B&B. • A quiet enclave minutes from the city sights. • Great views across the city to Royal Crescent and beyond.

There's Wi-Fi throughout and welcoming guest areas.

Good to know
Stay midweek if possible – or book well ahead for weekends!

12 rooms

Special features
Rooms are individually decorated in soothing colours and bespoke fabrics complemented with new comfy beds, crisp white linens, goose down duvets and pillows, fluffy white towels and an eclectic mix of painted French-style furniture. Each room has a power shower (some with a separate bath), heated towel rail, REN skincare products and towelling robes. All have a flat screen LED Freeview TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, generous hospitality tray,  powerful hairdryer and shaver point.

Pillow talk
We loved Room Six, with its modern four poster bed , double ended bathtub and huge bay window framing panoramic views across Bath. Room Two has a gorgeous French Baroque style bed and a shower big enough for two (no bathtub), while Room Four has a teeny courtyard and a double ended bath. Room 12, up in the loft, is quaint and quirky with sloping ceilings and Velux windows.

Eat & Drink

Dining In
No evening meals are served, but your hosts will be happy to recommend some great Bath eateries.

Served until 10.00 am daily. Look forward to seasonal fresh berries, cereals and yoghurt or a hearty full English. The Eggs Royale, Florentine and Benedict (free range, naturally) come highly recommended, while bacon and bangers come from Bartlett's butchers in Bath. There are good veggie options, too.

Room service
No – but there's a communal guest fridge where you can store a bottle of wine to enjoy later in your room.

See & Do
Bath is a city of culture and festivals with something for everyone. Check out the original Roman Baths and historic Bath Abbey, follow in the footsteps of author Jane Austen or get a glimpse of Georgian life above and below stairs at No 1 Royal Crescent. There are plenty of guided walks around the city's Regency crescents and squares, while the Christmas Market is a great place for present-buying.

On the sporting front, it's worth checking the fixtures list for Bath Rugby and Bath Race course, as well as the motor racing at nearby Castle Combe.

Bath Thermae Spa, Britain's only natural hot-springs spa, lies within easy walking distance and offers a stunning rooftop pool, aroma steam rooms and treatment suites. Grays offers guests a great add-on package for the Thermae Spa.
