Special features:
All rooms come with internet access, LCD television and DVD player with Freeview, plus luxury robes and slippers. Some have a freestanding rolltop bath, walk-in shower and separate sitting area.
Pillow Talk:
We loved the bright and airy Garden wing rooms, with direct access to the grounds. Courtyard suites are even bigger – the duplex Shaftesbury Suite, for instance, has a summery sitting room, a spacious bedroom and a bathroom with rolltop bath and double shower. This and the Weymouth Suite have Ipod docks with speakers in the bedroom and bathroom, plus bathroom TVs.
Splashing out? Signature master rooms include the opulent Oval Room in the main house, the understated Longleat Room and the Dorchester Room, with its deep terracotta walls.

Dining in:
With its mix of dramatic taupe and stone coloured walls, wood flooring, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gardens, the Mulberry restaurant at Bishopstrow House offers three complementary dining options.
There’s fine dining in the main restaurant, where award-winning head chef, Frank Bailey and his brigade produce imaginative dishes using freshest local ingredients.
Informal all-day dining is on offer in the conservatory, while the Mulberry terrace beckons for al fresco dining in the summer months. Options there range from healthy salads, smoothies and snacks to indulgent cakes and cocktails.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is served until 10.00 (cooked) or 10.30 (continental) and until 11.00 on Sundays.

Activities
See and Do
The 18th century house and gardens at Stourhead are a must for fans of exotic trees, lakes and classical temples. For older history there’s the cathedral city of Salisbury and the many attractions of Georgian Bath – not to mention the ancient stone circles of Stonehenge.
If there are little ones in tow, make time to see the animals and adventure park at Longleat House and Safari Park. Combo tickets include entry to the Cheddar Gorge and caves as well.
There’s good fly fishing to be had in the waters of the River Wylye, and many good walking trails in the area.
Spa pampering
With its indoor and outdoor heated pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub, experience showers and tennis courts, Bishopstrow’s Halcyon Spa is the place for some serious R&R.
Book an Elemis facial, body scrub or massage, try some aromatherapy or get squeaky clean after some Rasul mud therapy.
