Know It All
Hit the spot
Tucked down a side-street in the heart of historic Istanbul.
Come here for...
● A great location close to the Blue Mosque. ● Cool mix of antique Ottoman and funky modern styles. ● Cocktails on the rooftop, with spectacular views.
There's an intimate rooftop bar, with hard-to-beat views over the Blue Mosque and Sea of Marmara. There's also a well stocked library and a breakfast lounge lined with sepia photographs of old Istanbul.
Good to know
Rooms are high on comfort, if not size.
All rooms come with rugged parquet floors, underfloor heating and marble bathrooms with big rainfall showers, while most offer great views over the Bosphorus.
Opt for a Deluxe room for the best in comfort and space. These have a separate sitting area and (in some) a small private terrace.
Eat & Drink
There’s no restaurant, but you’re within easy reach of dozens of downtown restaurants. Breakfast is a not-to-be-missed feast of cereals, fresh breads, Turkish cheeses and preserves and fresh juices.
Buffet breakfast is served until 11am.
Available until late evening.
See & Do
Ibrahim Pasha is just around the corner from some of Istanbul’s prime sites: the Blue Mosque (check out the view from the rooftop), Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace.
There’s plenty of shopping (haggling obligatory!) in the famous covered bazaar, and a cruise along the Bosphorus is easily arranged. See the whirling Dervishes in action at a night show, or set sail for the traffic-free Princes’ Islands for a taste of timeless Turkey.
If you’re after a traditional Turkish bath (the real McCoy) staff will be happy to advise and make arrangements at some of the top places in town.
Screenings and parties galore add plenty of buzz to the Istanbul Film Festival.
Istanbul Music Festival showcases two weeks of opera, classics and gypsy music.
