SERENELY SET IN THE SUN-DAPPLED valleys of Ibiza, Es Cucons is made for escapism.  Stylish yet intimate, this rustic-chic little haven is a world away from the clubbing crowds.

Scattered around the palm-fringed grounds are Es Cucons’ 14 individually decorated bedrooms. Each has its own terrace, balcony or garden, and it’s easy to see the beautifully restored finca’s 17^th century origins in the wooden beams and hewn stone walls.

Hospitable owners Maria and Barbara have designed each room using vibrant shades, billowing drapes and hand-picked furniture. Cushions, candles, fresh flowers and fruit filled wicker baskets add to the relaxed island vibe. The gorgeous honeymoon suite takes some beating, with its hilltop setting, private outdoor hot tub and to-die-for views.

Flowers and almond trees

Bathrooms come with monsoon showers and clawfoot tubs. Each is also kitted out with grooming essentials such as slippers, waffle robes and plenty of gels and lotions.

Alfresco dining is a treat here, and intimate tables – candlelit at night – have pretty views of flowers and almond trees across the Corona Valley. Look forward to creative Mediterranean cuisine and fresh seasonal dishes.

Es Cucons’ idyllic setting is the real Ibiza – tailor-made for peaceful R&R. Soak up the rays around the pool or catch up with your holiday reading in a shady corner of the rambling grounds. While you’re just a short drive from lively Sant Antoni, you’ll need a car to get around.  The owners welcome their guests more like old friends, and hiking, hiking and riding start straight from the hotel’s backyard.
