Special features
Each of the 14 bedrooms is individually styled in typically relaxed island style. All have well chosen furnishings, floaty gossamer drapes, Egyptian cotton bedlinen, satellite TV and DVD players. Suites have original fireplaces, while bathrooms – some with jacuzzi baths – come with waffle robes, slippers and generous toiletries.

There’s a garden spa for body and beauty treatments, two pools (one for grown ups and the other for little ones), a library-lounge for reading or checking emails, and a cocktail bar.

Pillow Talk
The terraced Junior suite has an exotic Moorish feel, while the Garden suite has its own private garden. The ultra-private Honeymoon suite takes the biscuit, with its outdoor hot tub, ceiling-to-floor windows and terrific views.

Eat & Drink

Dining in
Peckish? The hotel’s alfresco terrace restaurant opens at midday for light lunches, serving a fresh and creative Mediterranean menu. Expect plenty of fresh-caught fish and sun cured meats, plus freshly-made cakes in the afternoon.   

At dusk, flickering candles and chillout music add an air of intimacy beneath the stars, when daily changing menus feature anything from local game to salt-crusted sea bass and decadent desserts. There’s also an extensive wine and cocktail list.

Breakfast
Buffet breakfast is served until 11.30. Expect Spanish cured meats and hams, and platters of fresh fruit.

Activities

See & do
Hike around the Corona valley and take in stunning views stretching as far as the eye can see. Winding trails can be accessed directly from Es Cucons and bikes are available for guests’ use, allowing you to weave between rows of almond trees.

Ibiza Town has a charming old quarter, with narrow streets, high-sided Renaissance houses and tall watchtowers. Have a cooling drink in Plaça de la Vila, or climb up the steep cobbled streets for wonderful views from the castle and cathedral. You’ll find plenty of little shops selling ceramics – the perfect place to buy those essential holiday souvenirs.

Soak up the rays around the pool or head off to one of the nearby beaches (Cala Salada is just 15 minutes away). For a great day out, take the ferry to the tiny island of Formentera – a 40-minute ride – fringed by soft white sands.

Spa
Set in the gardens, Es Cucons’ spa is just the place for some pamper and de-stress time. Choose from facials, body scrubs and massage treatments (Ayurvedic, Indian or Thai) or sign up for a Hatha yoga package. For that born-again feeling, you can even opt for a chocolate body full body exfoliation and fat-burning wrap.
