Know It All
Hit the spot
By the Agdal gardens, a five minute taxi hop from Marrakech's main square.
Come here for...
• A contemporary urban resort minutes from the medina. • Superlative spa and hammam. • The rooftop Skybar.
There are two outdoor pools for sunning, a restaurant and champagne lobby bar, a rooftop Skybar, an impressive spa and hammam with an indoor pool, plus a 24-hour concierge service.
Good to know
Not everyone may love the mood music around the pool and Skybar. And taxis (or walking) into town are essential.
You’ll find a balcony, free wi-fi, coffee and tea making, digital TV, minibar and safe.
Contemporary design meets Moroccan medina in the 28 signature suites, which open onto sunny terraces. Deluxe rooms and above offer the best in space, while the sprawling Loft suite is a treat with its own open fireplace for chill nights.
Eat & Drink
There are two restaurants, so look forward to cosmopolitan cuisine with Moroccan accents. Clad entirely in black marble, Cesar’s Restaurant opens onto a teak terrace and now one of the city’s chic dining spots. Dine on local favourites like lamb tagine with prunes or fish pie, or opt for international fare such as grilled steak with artichokes or breast of duck.
The Oriental lounge serves Thai and Japanese fusion dishes. Start the night with some fizz in the lobby champagne bar or try some tapas on the rooftop Skybar.
Buffet breakfast is served until 10.30am.
Available 24 hours
See & Do
You’re five minutes by cab from Djemma El Fna square, the hub of Marrakech’s daytime and after-dark action and teeming with cafes. This is also the starting point for exploration of the souks, where bargaining is de rigueur. Other nearby points of interest include the city’s Saadian tombs and El Badi palace, as well as a large golf course. Excursions into the Atlas mountains are easily arranged by jeep and 4WD.
Tone up or chill down at Cesar Spa – all soft blue lights and white marble – with an indoor pool, hammam experience and treatment rooms with a menu of massage and beauty options. Organic plant-based products are used, based on verbena, green tea, prickly pear, rosemary and seaweed.
Marathon de Marrakech
Runners dash to the Palmeraie district and back from Djemma el Fna square.
Marrakech Popular Arts Festival takes to the streets with free folk dancing, Berber music and theatre.
