Family run Venetian gem tucked in a hidden corner
Tucked down a little alleyway minutes from San Marco, Hotel Flora is an old Venetian favourite melting with charm. The winning card is the jewel-like courtyard garden, with its climbing vines.

Come here for...
? A pretty palazzo laden with Venetian charm. ? The flower-filled courtyard gardens. ? Affordability in a classic location.
Hotel Flora's trump card is its leafy courtyard garden – perfect for sipping a Prosecco or penning postcards. There's also a clubby cafe-cum-bar serving teas and drinks and a well equipped fitness room.
Good to know
Charming staff have worked here for years and take pride in looking after guests.
Rooms can vary in size and style. Some are furnished in classic Venetian style, with dark wood, ornate ceilings, chandeliers, antiques and damask. Others are lighter and fresher, with creamy walls and simpler fabrics. All are charming, with wi-fi and individually controlled air-con. Bathrooms are well-stocked with Bigelow toiletries.
The best doubles overlook the rear courtyard or have corner views over the rooftops.

See & Do
Venice has a banquet of Baroque to explore, and gondola rides for incurable romantics. Sip an espresso or a spritz in pigeon-filled Piazza San Marco (the only piazza in Venice), get lost in the labyrinthine alleyways, and marvel at Basilica di San Marco.
It's the legendary Venice Carnevale – masks, music and magic.
