Now protected by UNESCO, the Baroque heritage town of Ragusa is just 30 minutes drive from La Moresca, so take a day trip to the honey-coloured old town or rent a car and explore the ‘Baroque triangle’ of Ragusa, Modica (famous for its chocolate) and Scicli.

You’re just minutes from the beach here, and sun-seekers each-lovers will want to make a beeline for the Ragusa region’s 90km of beautiful coastline.

Be sure to try some Caciocavallo Ragusano cheese and the local Monti Iblei olive oil when you’re out and about.
