Color Hotel - Review
GLAMOROUS OUTDOOR POOLS and lush gardens make Color Hotel Style & Design, in the pretty lakeside town of Bardolino, an ideal place for a chilled Italian Lakes holiday.
Glamorous curving pools and waterfalls are the highlight of Color Hotel Style & Design. Three large outdoor swimming pools and whirlpools set among tropical gardens and scattered with loungers are tailor made for blissful days in the sunshine. One has a swim-up bar for cooling cocktails, while another has a whirlpool bubbling away till late.
Splash out on a suite here for a pool view (away from the busy road at the front of the hotel) and the max in style and space. Best of all are the new Samsara suites, complete with big round beds, his n’ hers bathrooms, a jacuzzi bath for two, large balcony and plenty of creature comforts.
Equally immaculate Spa Junior suites have kingsize beds and a jacuzzi bath either in the room or on the balcony, while the Armonia suites have similar features and a light and bright feel.
Cooling cocktails
The hotel’s main areas are stylish and uncluttered, while an open air lounge near the bar is strewn with colourful beanbags and raffia sofas perfect for afternoon drinks or simple a snuggle. You’ll also find hammocks and table tennis in the gardens, and plenty of chillout corners. The pools are attractively lit at night.
Dinner is served in the Veranda restaurant and around the pool, while barbecues are often held on the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy fabulous lakeside sunsets. The shops and restaurants of buzzy Bardolino are five minutes away.
Honeymooners make a beeline for Color Hotel Style & Design, and while the hotel is popular with families during the summer holidays this is essentially a place for couples – so you won’t find it overrun with kids. Helpful and hospitable staff are keen to ensure their guests have the best time.
