See & Do
This region begs exploration, with pretty villages, olde worlde chateaus and ancient roman churches by the dozen. Plenty of vineyards in the Médoc region are open for tastings, and September sees plenty of grape harvest partying taking place.

Pine forests lead to long sandy beaches along the Atlantic seaboard, and there are lots of pretty fishing harbours to see along the Gironde estuary.
