VILLA MARIE
Stylish Riviera retreat with sweeping Med views
MINUTES FROM CHIC ST TROPEZ and set among picture-perfect pine and cypress trees, Villa Marie enjoys sweeping hillside views over the Bay of Pampellone. This peachy Italianate villa is just the place for
super-indulgence by the Med.
You can hone that St Trop tan lounging around Villa Marie’s
signature curved swimming pool, with its sprawling deck and fabulous views over the coast. Cool off with a cocktail afterwards on one of the many shady terraces, or wander through gardens shaded with palm trees where fragrant herbs, cactus and citrus trees grow.
Opening out onto the patio or the pine forest, bedrooms blend soft provencal shades with French flair. Creamy colours, painted Florentine furniture,
muslin-draped four poster beds and – in some – clawfoot baths centre stage in the bedroom lend lavish Riviera charm and style.

Bedtime
First floor rooms are airy with light balconies. Splash out on a suite with a four poster and rolltop bath for two.
Be savvy
Prices are not cheap, but this is the super-stylish south of France.

Riviera opulence above St Trop.
Intimate dinners
Airy salons and shady corners offer
plenty of scope to kick back with a book or a glass of vino. The arched Orange lounge is a sprawling indoor-outdoor space with huge terracotta pots, plush sofas and a fireplace covered in seashells.
Savour al fresco dining on Villa Marie’s scenic terrace, with its views over the glinting azure pool and the sea – a
shamelessly romantic setting that’s perfect for intimate dinners as night falls.
You’re well located here near all the buzz of St Trop but away from the crowds. The Bay of Pampelonne’s
famous beaches are within easy reach, and Villa Marie’s
friendly team will help you plan excursions or a day mingling with the millionaire set aboard the hotel’s private yacht.

Dining in
Soak up the ravishing views over the Bay of Pampellone as you dine al fresco on Villa Marie’s scenic terrace, or in the more formal and flamboyant restaurant. Prices can be eye-wateringly high, but the view from the terrace is a winner.
Look forward to elegant Mediterranean cuisine steeped in southern flavours, with plenty of freshly caught seafood, or specialities such as Plancha – a
medley of meat and fish dishes. There are also plenty of tempting desserts on offer such as
lime and cactus sorbet.

You’re spoilt for choice hereabouts. Chez Camille near Ramatuelle serves a speciality bouillabaisse, while La Tour Joseph offers traditional provencal cuisine.

There are also plenty of good beach clubs to try, vineyards to visit and boutiques packed with must-have merchandise. And you could always hire Villa Marie’s private yacht for the day.
Shop
St Tropez and nearby Cannes are a mecca for label lovers. Gourmands can pick up some great wines, caviar and fois gras at L’Epicerie Fine, and be sure to take home some nougat from Chez Sénéquier.
