EAST ANGLIA – WHY GO?

East Anglia – the fenlands and farmlands of Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex – is home to the Queen’s estate at Sandringham, beautiful Holkham beach, the waterways of the Norfolk Broads and the cities of Cambridge and Colchester. This is a region of sand dunes, unspoilt villages, wide-open skies and ever-present water. Bursting with medieval history, Norwich boasts a lively market square and a jumble of little cobbled streets packed with antique and craft shops. Harwich has its docks and maritime history while the Suffolk seaside towns of Orford, Southwold and Aldeburgh are packed with charm.

Bury each other in the sand on a Suffolk beach or sip wine as you putter off into the sunset on the Norfolk Broads. Back on dry land, hire a tandem to explore intellectual Cambridge, with its churches, cloisters and colleges, or  delve into the Roman history of  Colchester.
